Frequently Asked Questions

  • Reach out through our contact form and we will walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way!

  • My contact page is the best way to get in touch with me, but if you have questions rather than a formal inquiry, feel free to reach out via email: jennacottlemua@gmail.com

  • I take a highly personalized approach to every face I work on. Rather than applying the same formula to every client, I tailor each makeup application to enhance your individual features, style, and comfort level. I’m extremely detail-oriented and take pride in creating polished, refined results that still feel like you — just polished.

Beyond the makeup itself, I care deeply about the experience. I bring a calm, professional, and fun energy to every appointment so you can feel relaxed, confident, and fully enjoy getting ready for your special event.

  • For premium services such as bridal makeup and 1:1 special event glam, I typically allocate about 90 minutes per application to ensure a detailed, customized result with no rush.

For other makeup services, appointments generally run around 45 minutes.

When multiple services are booked for an event, I will create and share a detailed timeline in advance for you to review and approve, so everything runs smoothly on the day of your event.

  • Yes — hair styling is available when booked alongside makeup services. Depending on availability and your preferred style, I may bring in a trusted hairstylist from my network to ensure you receive the best experience possible. While my primary focus and passion is makeup artistry, I’m happy to coordinate both services for a seamless, elevated beauty experience.

  • Yes! I can absolutely accommodate large bridal parties. Timing typically runs about 45 minutes per bridesmaid, 60 minutes for mothers of the bride/groom, and 90 minutes to 2 hours for the bride.

If the group size or timeline requires additional support, I will bring in a trusted assistant artist to ensure everyone is completed efficiently while maintaining the same level of quality and attention to detail.

  • I am located in Atlanta, Georgia.

  • Yes! I do travel for bookings. Travel and lodging fees may apply depending on the location and scope of the event.

In some cases, reduced travel fees may be available for select destinations where I have existing ties or am already planning to visit.

  • A trial is not required, but it is highly recommended for brides. It’s an opportunity for us to align on your vision and ensure the look you’re envisioning is one you truly love on yourself.

During the trial, we also have extra time for a full consultation and adjustments so we can refine every detail of your look. Most brides choose to include this step for added confidence and clarity ahead of the wedding day, but ultimately it is completely up to you.

  • I don’t offer makeup trials prior to booking for weddings. Wedding dates are reserved with a signed contract and deposit, which ensures your date is held exclusively for you.

Because I can only book a limited number of weddings, I’m not able to schedule trials without a confirmed reservation, as it could result in the date being unavailable if another bride books in the meantime.

Once your date is secured, we’ll absolutely schedule your trial so we can perfect your look together.

  • I currently accept bookings up to 10 months in advance. This booking window allows me to best manage my schedule and ensure each client receives dedicated, high-quality service without conflicts.

  • During peak wedding season (March–October), I require a service minimum of $750 for local weddings (within 90 miles of Atlanta, GA) and $1,000 for destination weddings (over 90 miles from Atlanta, GA). For weddings, trials are applied toward your service minimum.

This minimum helps ensure I can dedicate the time and resources needed to provide a seamless on-site experience for bridal parties. In some cases, it may be waived for last-minute bookings if I happen to have availability.

  • Yes I do! The best way to inquire about makeup lessons is by sending me an email: jennacottlemua@gmail.com

Yes! I do offer makeup lessons.

The best way to inquire is by sending me an email at jennacottlemua@gmail.com.

I offer both 1:1 and group lessons, scheduled in between my event and bridal bookings. These sessions can be tailored to your goals—whether you're a fellow artist looking to refine your technique or someone who wants to master an easy, everyday routine that fits your features and lifestyle.

For everyday clients, we focus on creating a personalized look you can confidently recreate on your own, along with product recommendations and step-by-step guidance. For artists, we can dive deeper into techniques and applications to elevate your skill set.

I truly love teaching these sessions and helping clients feel more confident in their makeup routine.
